Network
eRx Network's key asset is the proven network infrastructure its customers rely on 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. eRx has heavily invested in building two world-class data center environments using proven Internet generation technology. eRx leads the industry with its two online, load-balanced geographically separate data center facilities. Each facility contains sophisticated fault-tolerant hardware and connectivity to leading network peering points across the U.S.
The eRx next-generation network employs multiple connections in each data center to its provider partners and customers. eRx’s application servers manage transaction and network routing to ensure maximum provider availability and performance. Each data center is fully capable of “self-healing” automatic transaction re-routing in the event of a telecommunication provider failure.
Data Centers
eRx’s two primary data center facilities are located in Chicago and Fort Worth. By operating both data centers in a true online production state, eRx Network is continuously testing its failover capability with every transaction processed. Each facility employs multi-factor enhanced security; redundant extended-runtime UPS and generator systems; redundant air conditioning, as well as gas and delayed action fire suppression technologies. Should the need arise, each facility is engineered to handle 100% of the eRx Network transaction load with no degradation in performance. In addition to our two primary facilities, eRx employs a remote point of presence in New York City in order to better serve our Internet customers in the busy Northeast corridor.
